It’s another Sherlock Holmes comic…this one features Watson roasting Holmes's messiness for the newspaper and Holmes skillfully maneuvering his way out of having to do chores. It's all canon, even the indoor sharpshooting, except for the bit about the cold bath.
None of this is new to me. I have read this story and seen it dramatized before. Yet, there is a warmth, an intimacy, a novelty to this scene as you have presented it. It's fun and it's fresh, thanks to your artistic vision and your skill as a comics storyteller. Well done.
I love this!! Watson's expression as he hears the gunshots, then the book excerpt overlaying a much-less-refined version of his actual dialogue, is comedy GOLD.
