I just wrapped up the book tour for THE DEEP DARK, going to five cities in six days and having a bunch of fascinating conversations with booksellers, as well as some cartoonists and authors I admire: Nate Powell, David Levithan, Hazel Newlevant, and Eunnie. I never want to read The Sign Of Four again, but the version of it that you’ve made is the most delightful thing I’ve ever seen. Please, never stop drawing it. There really are so many great small scenes and moments in that book! (which then get overshadowed by all the… yeesh.) Thank you for illuminating those moments so that I don’t have to actually reread the book to see them.
