I'm so glad I asked about this now. I have both films on blu-ray and I'm (lovingly) forcing my partner to watch them with me.

I read the complete Sherlock Holmes at the age of ten in 1992. My very first work of fan fiction (something I didn't even know the term for) was to make them kiss. 🥰. Great job.

LOVE. There’s a whole rabbit hole of Holmes and watson related retellings to fall down too if you’re interested - lots of good stuff in there, but, like you, I love the originals and was struck by how much Guy Ritchie captured their essence in those blockbustery movies.
