Ohmygod I just finished it two days ago and I’m already getting ready to reread/listen the entire series to try and catch more hints and foreshadowing I missed the first few times around🧐 you’re so right when you say each read is like a brand new book. With each new book that gets released, the ones before it seem entirely different with the new info we get

I scrolled past the doodles in fear of spoilers but wanted to say I finally started the series and it’s so good. Understand the love so many of my friends have for it immediately. First few chapters alone have me wanting to see more from Gideon, Harrow, and where all of this is going.

Oh yes and I’m heading to LA next month for a small holiday and work things and I was wondering if you had any recs for spots or cool tourist places to check out beyond the usual stuff? 🙏

the classics like disneyland and universal studios are quite fun (it's horror nights through october at universal and at knott's berry farm, so spooky mazes etc if you're into that!). the beach is always wonderful, El Matador is especially beautiful for walking and photos. other than that I'd suggest looking up some highly rated restaurants in your favorite cuisines; the food scene here is out of this world! Dan Sung Sa is my favorite korean dive bar; Sasabune in glendale is my favorite omakase sushi spot; Tsubaki is a japanese izakaya; Jitlada for bonkers spicy Thai food; the Tam O'Shanter for generic scottish food and whiskey in a cute setting; and you can't go wrong with KBBQ and ramen! Also worth looking up 836 Night Market to see if it will be happening while you're here, or any movie showings at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. finally, if you want a fun gay night out, search on instagram for info about these parties focused on queer, sapphic, and trans folk: gorgeous gorgeous, gay asstrology, divorce LA, hot donna's (drag king brunch!) and dana's night (or just get some cash and go to jumbo's clown room!).

These recs are great thanks so much! I've only ever been for work events before but this is mostly personal time so I can finally see some of the sights I missed out on before. Heading to a music festival in Oakland just before Halloween but otherwise I'm about for long enough to check a bunch of these out. I want to push myself a little bit so will check out some of the queer places you suggested with a few friends. Universal is booked too so I'm being dragged to the spooky nights and a few LA markets. Think I'm gonna find some nice places for long walks and views given it's my first holiday since the pandemic and I really need to switch off and let myself relax. Lemme know if you're around and wanna grab a coffee or anything! :)

I'm partway through and loving it, but taking my time (reread the first two as well). Terrified for Noodle and mildly concerned about the fate of humanity.

It took SO much brain power for me to understand what was happening, who was who, and how it all ties back
