Hourly Comics 2026
I haven’t posted here for about a million years! The main reason is that I was deep in the world of my next graphic novel, which is now 🎉done with inks🎉. I’m going to wait until it’s closer to being out in the world to talk about it, but it’s definitely the most ambitious (and probably my favorite) thing I’ve ever done, and I can’t wait to share it!
Hourly Comics Day was moved from Feb 1 to Feb 8 to respect the start of Black History Month - a great change in my opinion! Here are my comics from yesterday, in which I draw myself shirtless more than is strictly necessary:

I always miss hourly comic day (it’s at a weird time of year for parents in the antipodes; it’s right at the beginning of the school year) so I never do my own anymore, but I loved seeing yours. (Also I am going to print out that panel of great advice about how to keep a discussion on track and stick it up somewhere I can see it all the time. Truly great advice.) And yay to not letting the usual reactivity patterns grab you! And double yay for muscles!
I loved reading this, it was so real and lovely and also I'm now thinking about making art for mainstream vs cultural outsiders
