I’m going to take you through the process of a graphic novel in a series of posts. This is from my perspective, as a writer and artist who makes fantasy books for middle grade and young adult readers - but hopefully it will be helpful even if you’re interested in making a different kind of book!
I'm a grad student not working in visual art and this post really resonated with me too. Thank you for the kind (and very well-timed, for me) words!
I really love how tender you are with people. (Hopefully yourself as well!) Thank you for these!
Two years ago I had a burnout that evolved into a chronic depression (I had a LOT of untreated traumas) and I am still healing. Every single words you said about burnout and healing resonated inside of me. It is all so true. And I might've cried a teeny tiny big bit lot at "it will get better". Thank you.
