That view! I can see why you got inspired up there.. it’s beautiful ☺️☺️🌸thank you so much molly! I’m really happy that you made this story 🙂 and I’m sure that a lot of us agree🌈🌈✨❤️🌺
This was one of the most beautiful stories I have read lately and likely ever.
The simple yet elegant and close-to-home motif of hiding a part of yourself, letting it just hurt yourself, and seeing it as a responsibility. Written and illustrated so perfectly, you could feel the heart of the artist.
The colors, the layouts, all the details... all creating such a good mosaic that is supporting the story without getting in the way.
Thank you for creating this and sharing it with the world. Thank you while I felt alone with my Laura
Wow, this is amazing. Joshua Tree is one of the most beautiful places in the world to me and Darkest Night has been just as beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing it <3
Reading darkest night was such a beautiful experience. I feel such a rich emotion from these comics- and i look forward to the physical version :) thank you for creating this gorgeous story.
Would it be cheeky to have this made into a small brick sized book to take to Thought Bubble in November for you to sign? I will happily buy it if and when it appears in print, but don’t want to be cheeky
Such a beautiful feeling, thanks for shaking it with us. Loved this comic as much as I loved this metaphor of how stories can change lives, people, and even weather sometimes 💫
hi molly! i just found this. i read it all in one sitting, listening to the music as i went. i haven't cried in a while. i started crying during the scene where mags finally cried, down in the basement. i haven't quite stopped yet. it's good. thank you for sharing this. this is a story i'll return to.
I can’t remembering taking in a work of art that displayed this hidden nameless thing about trauma better than this one. Really beautiful and so moving. Thank you!
Very much looking forward to reading this story again when it's all compiled into a book I can hold in my hands. I really hope this afterword gets included; it might be my favorite part of the whole project. Thank you for sharing your heart through this story, Molly.
Beautiful stuff, Molly. I have truly enjoyed reading along this past year+.
Comics on Substack Pro was such a strange experiment for so many of us, but I have to say, I think you and Chip and ND have done it best. I have gotten so much from all three of your Substacks over the last year+ -- thank you.
DARKEST NIGHT - afterword
I hope you include this afterword in the published version.
Oh my goshhhhh😍🤩

So this was a form of therapy? Congratulations on getting it out.
