sketchbook: the sign of the four part 1

THE DEEP DARK is out everywhere tomorrow, and I’m so excited to have this book enter the world. I wanted to thank the readers of this newsletter for being the first readers as it was being told. It was quite a vulnerable way to make what has turned out to be quite a vulnerable graphic novel, but I felt so safe sharing to this audience, and that’s really meaningful. Now it’s going out into the wide world and I hope it reaches a few more people who will enjoy it!

And of course, here’s some more updates from Watson’s sketchbook (I’m going to share an entry every Monday). THE SIGN OF THE FOUR is a weird and tragic novel that delves into Holmes’ cocaine use (content warning for drug use and needles in the following comic, by the way) and ends with…well, you’ll see when we get there.
