sketchbook: the hound of the baskervilles part 2

More parts to this saga…Watson is sent away and has to explore a creepy mansion and a ghost- and murderer-infested moor on his own! I really like this novel because Watson as a narrator often under-describes his own emotions and actions, in favor of getting starry-eyed over his friend. But when he’s alone, he’s forced into the protagonist role, and it’s very revealing to his character.

most of this section is told through letters written to Holmes, but there’s this little excerpt from his personal journal that makes me go :’(

Watson becomes obsessed with this mysterious man, and sets out to uncover his identity…
