Brilliant as ever. If quibble the use of the term "I own it" as this seems too modern, but it could well be a 'Tiffany Problem' and I am unaware of it.
(thank you) ok because I'm insane I will often look up phrases to make sure they ring true with the era by searching in a pdf of all the Holmes stories. It does feel like a modern phrase but it was definitely used, although possibly more with the implication of 'I admit it' than 'I take responsibility':
"Yes. He knows that I am his superior, and acknowledges it to me; but he would cut his tongue out before he would own it to any third person." (from a Study in Scarlet)
In general I am always surprised by HOW modern these stories feel!
That's really interesting. I've read some Conan-Doyle recently ( The Lost World )in fact and I was really impressed by it too. It was funnier than I expected. I'm really enjoying your Holmes/Watson stories btw.
You continue to crush it. I am not an expert on Holmes or the Victorian era, but this dialogue rings true to me, and the last line pulls many different heart strings for me, and I suspect for Holmes as well.
Oh you silly boys. *Bangs their heads together*
These are incredible! Your style is gorgeous and you've picked up the Doyleist dialogue perfectly.
(Shorter panels in future though if possible, it's much harder to zoom in on the big long ones on mobile)
ooh thank you for the input, will do!

DAMN you are so good at visually conveying the tension here. I can only begin to imagine Holmes’ guilt here

I kinda like this Byronic take on Holmes, though the very allusion would earn nothing but his contempt.
lol yes he would insist he is being strictly rational at all times
