all dialogue from the original story, except for the very last panel! For such an iconic villain in so many film and TV adaptations, Moriarty is very undefined in the stories - Watson never actually sees him, so the reader only gets secondhand accounts. Here’s another version of his faceless effect that I tested out - it felt like it would be a bit too visually complex for later scenes, but I liked the idea of a man literally made out of the descriptions of him:

That text cloud face is amazing!
Oooh! So cool!!! I love the way you're taking the time to focus on every detail in this, since it's one of the most emotional stories and everything in this series has been leading up to it.
And making Moriarty faceless was really smart, especially for this scene where the pieces are definitely starting to come together but the final "face off" (pun intended!) hasn't happened yet. It also paints Moriarty as more of a concept than a flawed, destructible human being, (which Holmes seems all the more, in comparison) only one head of his hydra, or perhaps a ghost that will haunt Holmes for the next ten years--even before his death.
These next few parts might break my heart, but I'm excited to relive a little of that feeling of reading The Final Problem for the first time! Thanks again for making this!!!
