okay okay first of all wow second of all aw yeah we love speech bubble placement as narrative tools and third of all, do you pick textures intuitively or did it take you more time to sus it out? the use of texture and spot black works well together; I'm curious as to that sort of as a narrative tool (also,,,, sorry i always ask horribly nerdy cartoonist questions ahdflsljfk)
thank you! I love being nerdy about comics no worries. It is pretty intuitive I guess, I use one brush for all my lines and then have a brush for the textures that's a slightly more scattered/rough version of the line brush. I guess my goal is to keep it as simple as possible!
I'm in love with everything, from the style, to the beautiful composition, backgrounds, and the amazing character design, the fact that even on the black and white parts, you can feel the atmosphere. But I just wanted to point out the absolutely amazing storytelling, through the dialogues combined with the panels (like, how you can feel the emotion of the characters??), the choice of words is perfect. "I made a choice to thrive." will be becoming my motto.
Thank you for creating such beautiful work, I'm looking forward to read more of it and learn lots from you.
Pd: don't want to be annoying or anything, but just in case, "oils" in spanish is mispelled, it's "aceites", sorry if it was intentional, I do think it's cute, but wanted to let you know
